The new school year is right around the corner, can you believe it? Should you need to transition your child from daytime appointments to late afternoon and evening appointments please be patient as your therapist works to find you a new time for your child's session.

SPECIAL NOTICE. PLEASE READ: The following memo is regarding The Caring Group’s Covid-19 Clinic Protocol.

In accordance with the Illinois Department of Health, patients must be screened by their parent or guardian for COVID-19 symptoms and other criteria below PRIOR to entering the clinic. Should your child not meet the criteria below, you must keep your child at home and notify the clinic/therapist of this information.  At that time, you will be given the option to move to a tele-therapy session.

Criteria to attend therapy:

  • Not taking fever-reducing medicines, such as those that contain aspirin, ibuprofen, or acetaminophen, in order to reduce his/her fever.

  • Has not had close contact with someone with COVID-19 within the past 14 days.

  • Has not had anyone in the household directed to self quarantine by a workplace, school, health care provider or by the County or State Department of Health.

  • Has not returned from travel outside the United States or on a cruise ship or a river boat within the past 14 days.

  • DOES NOT have any of the following symptoms: chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body ache, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.

When you arrive at the clinic:

  1. Come into the lobby and please have all people put on their masks before entering the building. This protects our immunosuppressed children who come to our clinic for therapy.

  2. Return to your car after your therapist has come to get your child. There is no waiting in our lobby during your child's session.

  3. Please be back in the waiting room 5 minutes before the end of your child's session.

Keeping everyone safe and healthy is our number one priority. Should you have questions, please feel free to call the clinic at 618-607-0086. Thank you!
