Should you become uncomfortable bringing your child into the clinic we are offering a tele-therapy session option. Please talk with your child's therapist to set up this option. In addition, we will begin insurance verification please have your current information with you at your next session.

SPECIAL NOTICE. PLEASE READ: The following memo is regarding The Caring Group’s Covid-19 Clinic Protocol. 


In accordance with the Illinois Department of Health, patients must be screened by their parent or guardian for COVID-19 symptoms and other criteria below PRIOR to entering the clinic. Should your child not meet the criteria below, you must keep your child at home and notify the clinic/therapist of this information.  At that time, you will be given the option to move to a tele-therapy session.

Criteria to attend therapy:

  • Does not have a temperature over 100.4 F.

  • Not taking fever-reducing medicines, such as those that contain aspirin, ibuprofen, or acetaminophen, in order to reduce his/her fever.

  • Has not had close contact with someone with COVID-19 within the past 14 days.

  • Has not had anyone in the household directed to self quarantine by a workplace, school, health care provider or by the County or State Department of Health.

  • Has not returned from travel outside the United States or on a cruise ship or a river boat within the past 14 days.

  • DOES NOT have any of the following symptoms: chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body ache, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting, or diarrhea.

When you arrive at the clinic: 

  1. Remain in your car until your appointment time.

  2. Please have all people put on their masks before entering the building.

  3. Wait in our lobby in one of the designated areas until called. The therapist will ask you standard COVID-19 questions. Should you wish to view those questions please click here.

  4. Return to your car after your therapist has come to get your child.

  5. After the session, your child’s therapist will text you to pick up your child from the lobby. Again, should this pickup method not work for you please let your therapist know.


Following the Covid Questionnaire, the therapist will :

  • Take your child directly to a sanitizing area, assist in washing their hands and will take their temperature.  

  • Then they will go to a designated, disinfected treatment area and remain there for the entirety of the session.  

  • Under emergency circumstances, if a child needs to use the restroom and they are not independent - the family can come into the vestibule area to assist.

  • In the event of a positive COVID-19 test, for either patients or staff members, The Caring Group will follow CDC guidelines​.
